 A BASSES | | Instruments previously built in Waltham-Boston, MA. A Basses produced guitars from 1976 to 2003. | A Basses was founded in 1976 by Albey Balgochian. In 1985, working with high profile bassist Darryl Jones (sideman to the Rolling Stones), they came up with the Darryl Jones Signature bass. By 2002, they were producing only the World Bass, Jade Bass, and Upright Bass models. These models are similar in shape to the Fender Jazz Bass.
As of January 1st, 2003, A Basses stopped taking custom orders. They also no longer produce any standard models.
