AMERICAN ARCHTOP | ELECTRIC | All of Unger's archtops are available in a 16 in. or 17 in. wide body, and a depth of 2.625 in. or 3 in. Bodies have a single cutaway, and feature solid maple sides and matching maple neck. The 21-fret fingerboard, bridge, finger rest, and tailpiece are all made of solid ebony. Scale length is 25 in. Models feature black Schaller tuning machines, Natural or Blonde finishes, and are available with or without binding. Unger also offers the option of floating or built-in Benedetto pickups. The American Dream model is available with a spruce top and laminated maple back and sides (starting MSR $4,400) or with a full maple body (starting MSR $4,400). The American Legend (starting MSR $5,950) features voiced top and back plates of solid German spruce (top) and flamed European maple (back). The American Collector Series (starting MSR $8,000) are one-of-a-kind instruments built in various configurations. Unger's top-of-the-line The American (starting MSR $16,000) has special design inlays and hand-carved voiced top and back plates of hand-select finest aged woods and materials. | |
