Models like the Black Tie, Excel, and Classic are traditional style archtops with different appointments and body binding styles, while the top-of-the-line Empress is a limited edition custom model. The last offered price on archtop guitars start at $17,000. Walker builds flattop acoustic guitars that feature pre-war style scalloped bracing, and are finished in a gloss varnish. Prices start at $7,700. Walker has noticed that his used guitars often sell for much more than when he built them new.
