VESTAX
Instruments previously built in Japan. Previously distributed by the Vestax Corporation of Fairfield, CA.
Vestax offers high quality guitars including one model that echos the classic designs of the 1940s and 1950s, as well as a semi-hollow electric model. The D'Angelico-Vestax Phil Upchurch model is a single cutaway New Yorker-style acoustic with bound body, two bound f-holes, bound headstock, three-per-side gold tuners, 22-fret bound ebony fingerboard with pearl block inlay, raised rosewood pickguard, adjustable rosewood bridge/stairstep rosewood tailpiece, floating humbucker pickup. Vestax's Superior Limited Series semi-hollow GV-98 looks like a double cutaway Strat or PRS design, but features hollowed out tone chambers under the flamed maple top. The GV-98 has a Wilkinson VSVG (GG) tremolo bridge, two single coil/humbucker pickups, and 22-fret fingerboard.
