TIMELESS INSTRUMENTS
Instruments currently built in Tugaske (Saskatchewan), Canada, since 1980.
Timeless Instruments is owned and operated by David Freeman. He offers custom-built string instruments, lutherie training, and lutherie supplies. Freeman builds both steel & classical acoustic guitars, using a variety of alternative and high grade traditional woods. He is a custom builder, creating for the customer. Finished instruments prices start at $2,800 CDN and range up to $15,000 CDN. Pricing is reflective of the custom nature of the instruments. Currently Timeless offers an offset soundhole with 24 fret, deep cutaway acccess on all acoustic models. He also builds bass guitars, bouzoukis, citterns, mandolins, harps, resonators, and dulcimers. These can be inlaid with Freeman's Fine Palette of Pearl.
Freeman also offers a seven week Acoustic Guitar Training Course, for beginners and intermediate builders. It covers design, constructing parts, assembly, finishing, and set-up. It is an immersion session combining theory and practical as each student builds their own instrument. There are also follow up training in resonators, harps, or other instruments of student's interests. David is an authorized teacher of The Buzz Feiten Tuning System.
Timeless Instruments offers lutherie wood supplies where customers can purchase basic wood or kits. There is some customizing available to kits to meet individual needs. For more information, contact Freeman directly (see Trademark Index).
