TAYLOR ACOUSTIC: GS SERIES The GS body shape is an original by Bob Taylor. It is similar to the Grand Auditorium with a wider waste and stretched top-end. GS 5/GS 6/GS 7/GS 8 - GS body style, solid cedar top with solid mahogany back and sides (GS 5), solid Sitka spruce top with solid maple back and sides (GS 6), solid cedar top with Indian rosewood back and sides (GS 7), or a solid spruce top with solid Indian rosewood back and sides (GS 8), round soundhole with abalone rosette, ivoroid body and neck binding, 14/20-fret rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot inlays, rosewood headstock veneer with three-per-side gold tuners, ebony bridge, available in Natural finish, mfg. 2006-present. GS5-12/GS6-12/GS8-12 12-String - similar to the GS5, GS6 (new 2009), and GS8 respectively, except in 12-string configuration with six-per-side tuners, mfg. 2008-present. GS-K - Grand Symphony body style, Sitka spruce top, Hawaiian koa back and sides, round soundhole with abalone rosette, cream plastic binding, abalone pearl purfling, Tropical American mahogany neck, 20-fret bound ebony fingerboard with abalone koa series inlays, three-per-side gold tuners, ebony bridge, 25.5 in. scale, available in Natural finish, hardshell case included, mfg. summer 2007-present. GS-K-12 12-String - similar to the GS-K, except in 12-string configuration with six-per-side tuners, new 2009.
