TACOMA
GENERAL INFORMATION
All guitars come standard without electronics (with the exception of a few acoustic/electric models, the Papoose, and the Chief). If you want them, they are an option, which adds to the price shown. Finish is also an option. All guitars come standard in Natual but Black, Cherry Burst, Sunburst, Trans. Amber, Trans. Blueburst, and Trans. Cherry are all available for an upcharge. All models except for the Wing Series (Chief, Roadking, Thunderchief, and Thunderhawk) are available in left-handed configuration. There are also other options available such as inlay patterns, binding options, purfling, top options, tuner upgrades, and back and side options. Contact a Tacoma dealer for pricing, etc.
When Fender purchased Tacoma in 2004/05 they implemented their famous numbering scheme, which is XXX-XXXX-XXX. Guitars all start with 038 or 389. 038 indicates a guitar that was produced at the time of switchover. 389 indicates a guitar built under Fender's jurisdiction. Then four middle numbers indicate the production model and the last three are the finish color.
