ACOUSTIC: 400 SERIES
In 1998, Taylor changed the 400 series' mahogany or maple back and sides in favor of solid ovankol (also spelled ovangkol). All 6-string models feature scalloped bracing. Earlier acoustic/electric models may be equipped with an optional Acoustic Matrix pickup system.
