| Taylor Retail list prices do not include a case. Cases carry an additional cost. TC Series hardshell cases retail at $299, and SC Series SKB/Taylor cases retail at $199. Taylor acoustics are available with a wide range of custom options, including Engelmann spruce tops or Fishman transducer systems. There is not charge for a left-handed configuration (not available on all models). Fishman electronics were available until 2004. In 2005, all models 300 and up feature Expression system electronics. Each Taylor model number also describes the particular guitar in relationship to the overall product line. The first of three numbers denotes the series (Taylor series comprise a specific combination of woods, bindings, inlays, etc.). The second number indicates whether it is a six-string (1), or a 12-string (5). The exception to this rule is the 400 series, which include models 420 and 422. Finally, the third number indicates the body size: Dreadnought (0), Grand Concert (2), Grand Auditorium (4), and Jumbo (5). The Grand Auditorium size models carry a prefix of GA. Any upper case letters that follow the three digit designation may indicate a cutaway (C), electronics (E)or a left-handed model (L).
