TACOMA ACOUSTIC BASS: THUNDERCHIEF SERIES The Thunderchief Bass series is just what it sounds. It is a bass version of the Chief series. All of these models have the soundhole in the upper bass bout. All models are available in fretless configuration for no additional cost (suffix F). CB10C THUNDERCHIEF CUTAWAY BASS (NO. 038-1200) - single cutaway chief style body, Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, rosewood fingerboard, unbound body, two-per-side tuners, mfg. 1999-present. CB105C Thunderchief Cutaway Bass Five-String (No. 389-1250) - similar to the CB10C, except in five-string configuration and 3/2-per-side tuners, mfg. 1999-present. CB28C THUNDERCHIEF CUTAWAY BASS (NO. 389-3201) - single cutaway chief style body, Sitka spruce top, figured maple back and sides, ebony fingerboard, tortoise binding, pearl inlay, two-per-side tuners, gloss finish, mfg. 1999-2007. CB285C Thunderchief Cutaway Bass Five-String (No. 389-3190) - similar to the CB28C, except in five-string configuration and 3/2-per-side tuners, mfg. 1999-2007.
