STEINEGGER GUITARS
Instruments currently produced in Portland, OR, since 1976.
Robert Steinegger developed an interest in guitars while in high school. Arthur Overholtzer coached him on classical guitar construction, and while attending school in Utah, he met Phil Everly of the Everly Brothers. In 1981, he was commissioned by Phil Everly to build an updated, improved version of the now highly collectible Gibson Everly Brothers Model. The "Ike Everly Model" was the result, and was built until 2001, when production was suspended (last retail was $4,500). Robert Steinegger also builds numerous other acoustic configurations, built per individual customer order. For more information contact Steinegger directly (see Trademark Index).
