 SHANTI | | Instruments currently built in Avery, CA, since 1985. | Luthier Michael Hornick has been handcrafting acoustic guitars under the Shanti trademark for the past several years. All guitars are designed with input from the commissioning player, so specifications on woods and inlay work will vary. Contact Michael Hornick for further details.
Hornick produces about nine or ten guitars a year. In addition, Hornick hosts a mandolin-building course each year at the RockyGrass Festival in Lyons, Colorado; and has been affiliated with the Troubadour singer/songwriter competition in Telluride, Colorado for a good number of years.
