The pickguard was imitation tortoiseshell inlaid with white and black Ivoroid borders. Available in Natural or Sunburst finishes. Position markers were solid pearl blocks. Bracing: single diagonal brace from upper bout to lower bout. Tailpiece: 5 Cutout "Y" shaped with Stromberg engraving (gold plated).

Bracing: single diagonal brace from upper bout to lower bout. Tailpiece: 3 Cutout "Y" shaped with Stromberg engraving (gold plated).

MASTER 400

- body size 18.375 in. wide x 21.75 in. length. Top: carved and graduated spruce .875 in. thickness. F-holes bound white/black. Neck: 5-piece rock maple. Ivoroid binding on fingerboard (black and white). Bridge: adjustable compensating rosewood. The pickguard was imitation tortoiseshell inlaid with white and black Ivoroid borders. Available in Natural or Sunburst finishes. Ebony fingerboard had position markers of three segmented pearl blocks or solid pearl blocks. Bracing: single diagonal brace from upper bout to lower bout. Tailpiece: 5 Cutout "Y" shaped with the new Stromberg Logo engraved and gold plated.
