1940S STYLE GUITARS

- body size 17.375 in. wide x 20.75 in. length. Top: graduated and carved spruce .875 in. thickness. F-holes Ivoroid bound (white/black). Bridge: adjustable compensating rosewood. The pickguard was imitation tortoiseshell inlaid with white and black Ivoroid borders. Available in Natural or Sunburst finishes. The ebony fingerboard had position markers solid pearl blocks. Bracing: single diagonal brace from upper bout to lower bout (1940-41). Tailpiece: 5 Cutout "Y" shaped (gold plated).

Bracing: single diagonal brace from upper bout to lower bout (mid to late '40s). Tailpiece: 3 Cutout "Y" shaped (chrome plated).

- body size 19 in. wide x 21.75 in. length. Top: carved and graduated spruce .875 in. thickness. F-holes bound white. Neck: rock maple with ebony fingerboard, position markers solid pearl block. Ivoroid binding on fingerboard (black and white). Bridge: adjustable compensating rosewood. The pickguard was imitation tortoiseshell inlaid with white and black Ivoroid borders. Available in Natural or Sunburst finishes. Bracing: single diagonal brace from upper bout to lower bout (began about 1940). Tailpiece: 5 Cutout "Y" shaped with Stromberg engraving (gold plated).

MASTER 400

- body size 19 in. wide x 21.75 in. length. Top: carved and graduated spruce .875 in. thickness. F-holes bound white/black, neck was a 5 piece rock maple with Ivoroid binding (black and white) on fingerboard. The bridge was adjustable compensating rosewood and pickguard was imitation tortoiseshell that was inlaid with white and black Ivoroid borders. Available in Natural or Sunburst finishes. Ebony fingerboard, position markers were three segmented pearl blocks. Bracing: single diagonal brace from upper bout to lower bout (began about 1940). Tailpiece: 5 Cutout "Y" shaped with Stromberg engraving (gold plated).
