SLAMAN GUITARS | ACOUSTIC | Luthier Slaman uses European spruce for his classical guitar tops, and either Brazilian or Indian rosewood, cocobolo or maple for the back and sides. When building flamenco instruments, Slaman offers soundboards of either European spruce or Western red cedar, and bodies of Spanish cypress or rosewood. The North Sea Standard 17 in. has a carved Sitka spruce top, two piece flamed maple back with matching sides/neck, ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl/Mexican green abalone inlays, ebony tailpiece/pickguard, Brazilian rosewood bridge/headplate, 3-per-side Schaller gold tuning machines. Available in hand-applied nitrocellulose finish, and an 18 in. or 18.5 in. wide body. List price includes a Calton DeLuxe fiberglass case. This model is available with an optional Benedetto S-6 suspended pickup. This model is available with select aged European Cello grade flamed maple back and sides as the North Sea Cello 17 in. This model is available with special Thuya wood headplate/pickguard/bridge wings/tailpiece as the North Sea Special 17 in. The North Sea Natural 17 in. is similar to the North Sea Standard, except features all wood binding (no plastic) and no pearl inlay. The North Sea 7-String Swing is similar to the North Sea, except in a 7-string configuration and 4/3-per-side headstock. The North Sea Orchestra is similar to the North Sea, except has non-cutaway body style, 18 in. width (across lower bout), European spruce top, and European flamed maple back/sides/neck.
