SCHEERHORN CUSTOM RESONATOR GUITARS | ACOUSTIC | Both Scheerhorn models share the same revised resonator design. The resonators are built of bright chrome plated brass, Spun Quarterman cone, and a spider bridge of aluminum. The bridge insert is made of hard maple with ebony tops. Both models also feature chrome Schaller M-6 tuning machines. The Curly Maple Regal Body model has a bookmatched solid curly maple top, with matching sides and back. The three piece neck consists of curly maple and walnut, and has a 19-fret ebony fingerboard. The body and neck are bound in either an ivoroid or dark tortoise (Natural Blond finish), and finished in hand-rubbed lacquer. The Curly Maple Large Body model has similar specifications, but with a larger body size (longer, deeper, wider) for additional volume and projection. The Mahogany/Spruce Regal Body model has a book-matched quartersawn Sitka spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides, and a two piece mahogany neck. The Mahogany/Spruce Large Body model has similar specifications, but with a larger body size for additional volume and projection. Scheerhorn also builds a Weissenborn Style Reissue dubbed the "Scheerhorn Hawaiian." The body is constructed out of solid Figured Koa (top, back, and sides), and the peghead has a Curly Maple overlay. The bridge is cocobolo with a bone saddle, and the cocobolo fingerboard has Curly Maple binding and abalone inlays. This model also features Kluson style tuners, a built in McIntyre pickup, and a hand-rubbed lacquer finish. Scheerhorn's newest model in the Acoustic/Electric, which features solid curly maple top/back/sides and neck, ebony fingerboard with flush frets, a 9" Quarterman cone and National-style coverplate, a Seymour Duncan mini-humbucker/McIntyre transducer pickups (with volume and tone for each system) and a 3-way selector switch. This model is wired for stereo. | |
