RAYCO RESOPHONICS
Instruments currently produced in Smithers, British Columbia, Canada since 2002.
Luthiers Mark Thibeault and Jason Friesen build resophonic and Hawaiian-style guitars in their British Columbia shop. They use all solid woods with soundpost construction, dovetailed neck joints, ebony fingerboards, and all instruments feature a limited lifetime warranty. Thibeault and Friesen worked with Jean Larriveé and their resonator designs are inspired by Tim Scheerhorn. In November 2008, Rayco began to offer Scheerhorn cones and coverplates as an option on all models. Resophonic and Hawaiian instruments start at $2,749 with many options available.
