Instruments previously built in England between 1981 and 1989.
Luthier Kevin Chilcott produced over 125 custom guitars in his English shop between 1981 and 1989. Chilcott apprenticed to English luthier Chris Eccleshall and became a self-employed luthier by the early 1980s. Chilcott built a wide range of instruments including acoustics, semi-hollowbodies, solidbody electrics, and a few NTB electric basses. Production increased every year with the most guitars produced between 1987 and 1989. Unfortunately, Chilcott was forced to retire from the guitar building business in 1989 due to a progressive disability. However, Chilcott has remained in the guitar industry performing some repairs, restorations, and other limited guitar production. For more information, visit Chilcott's website (see Trademark Index).
