RALEIGH
Instruments previously built in Chicago, IL. Distributed by the Aloha Publishing and Musical Instrument Company in Chicago, IL.
The Aloha company was founded in 1935 by J.M. Raleigh. True to the nature of a House Brand distributor, Raleigh's company distributed both Aloha instruments and amplifiers and Raleigh brand instruments through his Chicago office. Acoustic guitars were supplied by Harmony, and initial amplifiers and guitars for the Aloha trademark were supplied by the Alamo company of San Antonio, TX. By the mid-1950s, Aloha was producing their own amps, but continued using Alamo products. Source: Michael Wright, Vintage Guitar Magazine.
