OVATION
ACOUSTIC: PINNACLE SERIES
The Pinnacle Series are made in Japan. They were first introduced internationally in 1987 and were introduced to the U.S. in 1990. They were discontinued in 1994, but reintroduced in 2002.
PINNACLE (MODEL 3712)
- folk-style, spruce top, 5-stripe bound body, leaf pattern rosette, mahogany neck, 14/20-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlay, rosewood bridge with white dot inlay, rosewood veneer on peghead, 3-per-side chrome tuners, 6 piezo bridge pickups, volume control, 3-band EQ, FET preamp, available in Barn board, Black, Ebony Stain, Natural, Opaque Blue, Sunburst, Trans. Blue Stain and White finishes, mfg. 1991-93.
Pinnacle Shallow Cutaway (Model 3862)
- similar to Pinnacle, except has single round cutaway, shallow bowl body, mfg. 1991-94.
Pinnacle 12 Torch Top (Model 385T)
- similar to Pinnacle, except in 12-string configuration and has torch top, available in Natural Honey, Ebony Stain, Blue Stain, Cherry Sunburst, or Sunburst finishes, mfg. 1993 only.
PINNACLE (MODEL CU147)
- single cutaway mid-depth body, AA grade solid Sitka spruce top, round soundhole with abalone rosette, two piece mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot inlays, walnut bridge, three-per-side gold tuners, Ovation Thinline pickup, OP-30 preamp, available in Honey Burst finish, mfg. 2002-05.
PINNACLE DELUXE (MODEL CU247)
- similar to the Pinnacle, except has quintad bracing, and mulit-soundholes with five-piece epaulet, available in Ruby Redburst finish, mfg. 2002-05.
