| FOUR DIGIT MODEL CODES |
| Ovation instruments are identified by a four digit model code. The individual numbers within the code will indicate production information about that model. The first digit is (generally) 1. The second digit describes the type of guitar: The third digit indicates the depth of the guitar's bowl: The fourth digit indicates the model (for the first 8 acoustics): The color code follows the hyphen after the four digit model number. Colors available on Ovation guitars are Sunburst (1), Red (2), Natural (4), Black (5), White (6), LTD Nutmeg/Anniversary Brown/Beige/Tan (7), Blue (8), Brown (9), Barnwood [a grey to black sunburst] (B), and Honeyburst (H).
