MORRIS
Instruments currently produced in Japan. Distributed in the USA by Moridaria USA Inc, in Fairfield, CA. Guitars were produced 1967-1980s, and 2001-present.
Toshio Moridaira founded Morris guitars in 1967. Moridaira got the name Morris when an employee at the Gibson factory nicknamed him that during a visit in 1964. In 1974, Morris displayed guitars at the NAMM show for the first time. They produced acoustic guitars and a thinline Ovation-style Tornado series until the 1980s. Morris guitars were re-introduced in 2001 with the S Series and are distributed in the U.S. by Moridaira, USA Inc. Morris guitars are advertised as "Made for Fingerpickers," for the high end hand crafted acoustic guitar. For more information contact Morris directly (see Trademark Index).
