MANZANITA GUITARS
Instruments currently built in Rosdorf, Germany, since 1993.
Manzanita Guitars was founded in 1993 by Moritz Sattler and Manfred Pietrzok. However, Manfred put the first label for a Manzanita in a guitar in 1985. During their first year of cooperation, they concentrated on building acoustic steel string guitars, blending traditional shapes with design and construction ideas that soon became accepted as typical for Manzanita Guitars.
Today they offer a wide variety of custom-made flattop, hollow neck and resophonic guitars. Musicians using Manzanita Guitars include David Lindley, Ron Wood and Gero Drnek (Fury in the Slaughterhouse). Prices vary since each instrument is "one of a kind" in every way.
