McCURDY GUITARS Instruments currently built in New York City, NY. Luthier Ric McCurdy has been producing custom guitars since 1983. Originally based in Santa Barbara, CA, he moved to New York City in 1991 where he studied archtop guitar building with Bob Benedetto. Since then, he has been concentrating on fine archtop and electric guitars for musicians. McCurdy has built and repaired guitars for several artists including John Abercrombie, Sheryl Bailey, Joe Beck, Paul Bollenbeck, Joe Cocker, Kenny Loggins, Jimmy Vivano, Jack Wilkins, and Jimmy Wyble.
