 MITCHELL, BIL GUITARS | | ACOUSTIC | Bil Mitchell currently crafts two lines of acoustic guitars. The Homegrown line is a 100% handmade solid wood guitar, made without the use of any prefabricated or outsourced parts. A limited number of options keep the Homegrown an affordable, custom quality guitar. Currently available on the OM and 00-concert body style, appointments include: cherry, mahogany or black walnut tonewoods, sitka or engleman soundboard, 14-fret, 25.5 in. scale on OM and 12-fret, 24.5 in. scale on 00-concert, cherry neck, rosewood fingerboard with Persian eye position markers, rosewood bridge, 1.75 in. nut width, maple binding, three ring rosette, high gloss nitro lacquer and three-per side Grover mini tuners. List price of $2,100 for cherry and $2,500 for walnut and mahogany. Add $300 for a cutaway. Hard shell case included.
The Bil Mitchell line is Bil's truly custom heirloom line of guitars. Available in Parlor, 00-concert, 00 De Luxe, OM, Dreadnought and Jumbo body styles. Base model standard appointments include: choice of black walnut or mahogany tone wood with sitka or engleman soundboard, ebony head stock overlay, fingerboard and bridge, mahogany soft V hand profiled neck, diamond inlay pattern, profusely flamed maple head stock, fingerboard, body, and bridge binding, head stock underlay and heel capping, carbon fiber and spruce laminated X brace, high gloss nitro lacquer finish and Waverly or Schaller tuners. Three ply archtop hard shell case included. Base price for above appointments is $4,000 for 00 Deluxe, OM, Jumbo and Dread models and $4,500 for the Parlor and 00-concert because of slotted headstock.
