ACOUSTIC: BACKPACKER SERIES

The Backpacker Travel Guitar was developed by luthier/designer Bob McNally in 1994. Backpackers have shown up in the most unusual of places, from the Space Shuttle to the Himalayas! Models are currently produced in Martin's Mexican facility located in Navojoa, Sonora, Mexico.

BACKPACKER

- thin travel-style "paddle-shaped" body, solid spruce top, solid wood back and sides, round soundhole, one-piece mahogany neck, 15-fret hardwood fingerboard with white dot inlays, three-per-side chrome mini tuners, hardwood bridge, white bridge pins with black dots, available in Natural finish, 24 in. scale, mfg. 1992-present.

BACKPACKER CLASSICAL

- thin classical nylon-string travel-style "paddle-shaped" body, solid spruce top, solid wood back and sides, round soundhole, one-piece mahogany neck, 15-fret hardwood fingerboard with white dot inlays, three-per-side chrome mini tuners, hardwood bridge, available in Natural finish, 24 in. scale, padded combo bag included, mfg. 1995-present.
