Martin also produced 75 D-21 Special Edition guitars with Indian rosewood back and sides (1985).
Size D (dreadnought) guitars feature a lower bout width of 15.625 in., 4.875 in.(14-fret) or 4.75 in.(12-fret) in. depth, 20 (14-fret) or 20 15/16 (12-fret) in. length, and 25.4 in. scale.
D-16H

- similar to the D-16H, except has walnut back and sides and black body binding, limited availability, total production of 138 guitars, mfg. 1987, 1990.
