MARK WESCOTT GUITARS
ACOUSTIC
Wescott designs his guitars (including the most recent Intrepid model) using the Kasha system of soundboard design. Asymmetrical radial soundboard bracing in conjunction with the impedance matching bridge enables Wescott to tailor the tonal response of the instrument. The Intrepid model is available in six-string and seven-string configurations, and features a Sitka spruce top, East Indian rosewood back and sides, Honduran mahogany neck, 24-fret ebony fingerboard, Kasha-type bridge, three-per-side Schaller mini tuners, graphite soundboard braces, Wechter-style access panel (trap door) tail block. Commissioned retail price is $8,000, and comes complete with deluxe hardshell case.
