MTD ACOUSTIC BASS All MTD instruments are delivered with a wenge neck/wenge fingerboard, or maple neck/rosewood fingerboard; 21 frets plus a "Zero" fret, 35 in. scale length. Prices include plush hard shell cases. The standard finish for body and neck is a satin catalyzed urethene. Wood choices for bodies: swamp ash, poplar, and alder. Other woods, upon request, may require up charges. Exotic tops are subject to availability. Beginning 2000, all MTD Basses come equipped with the Buzz Feiten Tuning System. Models can be ordered in 34 in. or 35 in. scale. MTD basses are all electric as of 2002. ABG 4 - four-string acoustic bass, flamed myrtle back and sides, spruce top, mfg. 1994-2001.
