LYLE
Instruments previously built in Japan between 1969 and 1980. Distributed by the L.D. Heater company in Portland, OR.
The Lyle product line consisted of acoustic and acoustic/electric archtop guitars, as well as solid body electric guitars and basses. These entry level to intermediate quality guitars featured designs based on popular American models. These instruments were manufactured by the Matsumoku company, which supplied models for both the Arai (Aria, Aria Pro II) company and the early 1970s Epiphone models. Used prices on Lyle guitars are typically between $100 and $150 depending on condition. Source: Michael Wright, Vintage Guitar Magazine.
