LIIKANEN GUITARS Instruments currently built in Helsinki, Finland, since 1986. Liikanen Musical Instruments ky is a company formed by three experienced luthiers to construct high class concert acoustic guitars. The company was founded by Kauko Liikanen in 1986, who has been building guitars for more than twenty years. Kauko's brother, Keijo Liikanen, joined the company in 1990. A German guitar teacher Uwe Florath joined the team in 1999. In 2000, the company invented and patented new construction for acoustic guitar top. Since then every Liikanen guitar is build with new "Lens Resonance System top." Models include six-string, seven-string and ten-string classical guitars as well as an eleven-string alto guitar.
