 LEVITCH | | ACOUSTIC | The Basic Artisan model (list $950) features a dreadnought or 15.5 in. round body, Sitka spruce top, mahogany (or maple or Indian rosewood) back and sides, maple or mahogany neck, ebony or rosewood fingerboard and bridge, black headpiece with mother-of-pearl or abalone inlay, gold-plated or nickel-plated tuners, plastic or wood binding, and an oval or round soundhole. The Artisan is finished with gloss or satin lacquer, and the price includes a hardshell case.
Options include an Engelmann spruce top (add $125), rounded or sharp cutaway (add $150), Fishman bridge pickup (add $200), and others. Levitch offers the following optional tonewoods for the back and sides of his Artisan model: figured bubinga, quilted and flame maple, Eucalyptus, Australian figured lacewood, figured paduak, figured walnut, and figured myrtle (add $150), flamed koa (add $200), Brazilian rosewood and quilted mahogany (call for prices). | |
