KRUSA GUITARS
Instruments currently produced outside of Nashville, TN since the late 1990s.
Luthier Kipp Krusa builds custom acoustic guitars in his shop outside of Nashville, TN. In 1993, Krusa went to school at The Nortwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding in Port Townshend, WA where he began to learn the art of woodworking. In 1994, he began experimenting with guitar building and attended the Timeless Instruments School of Lutherie. During the mid-1990s, be continued to build commercial fishing boats while he assembled a shop to construct guitars. Several luthiers lended their advice to Krusa along the way, and he was an apprentice at Froggy Bottom Guitars for three years. Krusa offers five base models with the Monarch (prices start at $3,000), Kyoto (prices start at $3,800), Mesa (prices start at $3,800), Fat Cat (prices start at $4,200), and the Mojito (prices start at $4,200), and several options are available.
