KIMBERLY Instruments currently produced in Seoul, Korea and China. Instruments previously produced in Japan between circa 1960s to early 1970s. Distributed by the Kimex Trading Co., Ltd. in Seoul, Korea. Previously distributed by Lafayette Company catalog sales. Kimberly guitars were originally manufactured by Kawai Guitars (and pianos), located in Hamamatsu, Japan, and imported by Limmco, Inc., owned by Bob Seidman. The company tried to fill the void left by the discontinuance of the Kay & Harmony trademarks. Current production of guitars under the Kimberly trademark is the Kimex Trading Co., Ltd. of Seoul, Korea.
