Also see Kay. | | Henry Kay Kuhrmeyer, who worked his way up from company secretary, treasurer, and later president of Stromberg-Voisenet, lent his middle name to a popular selling line of guitars, mandolins, and banjos. When Kuhrmeyer gained control of Stromberg-Voisenet and changed the name to Kay Musical Instruments, he continued to use the Kay Kraft trademark (sometimes hyphenated as Kay-Kraft). Instruments using this trademark could thus be either Stromberg-Voisenet or Kay (depending on the label) but was still produced by the same company in the same facilities. | |
