KANSAS
Instruments previously built near Lawrence, KS between circa 1910 and the early 1940s.
The Kansas guitar company, located outside of Lawrence, KS built acoustic guitars from circa 1910 to World War II. During the war, the company switched over to producing gun stocks. After the war (circa 1946 to 1948) the company was sold to the employees, then went out of business.
A Kansas trademark later showed up on guitars featured by the Sears, Roebuck catalog until the catalog folded in 1991. It is unknown whether or not the two Kansas trademarks were related.
