JACOBSON, PAUL H.
Classical guitars currently produced in Cleveland, MO ( a suburb of Kansas City) since 1974.
Luthier Paul H. Jacobson, along with help from his wife Carol, build classical acoustic guitars at their shop called The Guitar Workshop, Inc. Jacobson built his first classical guitar in 1974 while working as an apprentice with Macario Briseño. During his early years as a luthier, Jacobson built a number of acoustic and twelve-string guitars in addition to classicals. Since 1980, Jacobson has been focusing solely on classical guitars and in 1984, he began building guitars full time. Jacobson's classical guitars are well-known throughout the world and he has gained a reputation for his experience with intonation. He has also repaired and customized several classical guitars. Guitars start at $6,900. Visit Jacobson's website to contact him directly regarding further information, prices, and options (see Trademark Index). Early history courtesy Hal Hammer, Jr.
