| The Carolina Series were designed by Greg Rich, produced between 2006 and 2008, and they represent Johnson's higher end acoustic guitars. Models in the Carolina Series I include the JD-16 (disc. last MSR was $400), JD-17 (disc. last MSR was $450), JO-16 (disc. last MSR was $400), and the JO-17 (disc. last MSR was $450). The Carolina Series II feature solid back and sides and models include the JD-26 (disc. last MSR was $600), JD-27 (disc. last MSR was $800), JO-26 (disc. last MSR was $600), and the JO-27 (disc. last MSR was $800). The Herringbone Series feature herringbone purfling and rosette. Models include the Herringbone Dreadnought JD-D30 (MSR $195), the JG-D35 with a solid spruce top (MSR $237), Herringbone 000 (MSR $184), Herringbone 000 Electric (MSR $299), Herringbone 000 Solid Top (MSR $232), and the Herringbone 000 Electric Solid Top (MSR $339). The Songwriter Series I feature a Canadian Sitka spruce top and they are available as a six-string dreadnought JG-670 (MSR $185), twelve-string dreadnought JG-670-12 (MSR $250), and a twelve-string dreadnought left-handed JG-674-12 (MSR $290). The Songwriter Series II feature solid tops and are available as a JD-06 dreadnought with mahogany back and sides (MSR $210), JD-06-12 dreadnought 12-string (MSR $270), JD-06-CFE dreadnought cutaway with mahogany back and sides and electronics, JD-07 dreadnought with rosewood back and sides ($240), JO-06 000-style with mahogany back and sides (MSR $210), JO-07 000-style with rosewood back and sides (MSR $240), JJ-06 jumbo with mahogany back and sides (MSR $250), and the JJ-06-CFE jumbo cutaway with mahogany back and sides and electronics (MSR $380). The Player Series are Johnson's entry-level series and models include the JG-608, JG-610 dreadnought (MSR $110), JG-610 ¾ (MSR $90), JG-610 ½ (MSR $90), 618 (MSR $130), JG-620 (MSR $150), JG-620-C Cutaway (MSR $180), JG-620-CE cutaway electric (MSR $227), JG-624-C left-handed model (MSR $200), and the JG-624CE left handed electric cutaway (MSR $247). The JG-650-T (MSR $179) is a single cutaway dreadnought with electronics. The JG-420 (MSR $160) is a 000-sized guitar. The Red Cliff Mahogany Dreadnought features an all-mahogany body and is available as a regular dreadnought (MSR $185), cutaway dreadnought (MSR $195), cutaway dreadnought with electronics (MSR $299). Other models include The Jumbo Cutaway JG-740 (disc. last MSR was $199), Player Deluxe Dreadnought (disc. last MSR was $172), and the JG-TR1 Trailblazer (MSR $140) is a small bodied travel-size guitar. Acoustic basses include the JG-622-E Deep Body Jumbo (MSR $330), JG-672-E Songwriter Series Bass (MSR $360), and the JG-702-CE cutaway acoustic/electric bass (MSR $309). | ||
