INTERDONATI, PHILIP
Guitars previously produced in Staten Island, NY during the 1920s and 1930s.
Luthier Philip Interdonati built mainly flattop acoustic guitars, but he also produced acoustic archtops as well. The best-known Interdonati model is a 000-sized guitar that was very decorated and features one of the first scalloped fingerboards. Interdonati guitars were also very built and they have become very collectible today. Each Interdonati guitar needs to be evaluated individually, but models have sold for over $5,000 with high decorations. Source: Tony Marcus, Acoustic Guitar.
