HOYER
Current production instruments are distributed internationally by Mario Pellarin Musikwaren of Cologne, Germany. Distributed in Germany by Fa. Mario Pellarin. Instruments previously built in West Germany from the late 1950s through the late 1980s.
The Hoyer company produced a wide range of good to high quality solid body, semi-hollow body, and archtop guitars, with some emphasis on the later during the 1960s. During the early 1970s, there was some production of solid bodied guitars with an emphasis on classic American designs.
The Hoyer trademark was re-introduced in the 1990s with the cheerful "A Legend is Back!" motto. Hoyer is currently offering a wide range of acoustic and electric guitars in Europe; a U.S. distributor has not yet been named.
