HOHNER
Instruments currently produced in Korea, although earlier models from the 1970s were built in Japan. Currently distributed in the U.S. by Hohner, Inc. in Glen Allen, VA.
The Hohner company was founded in 1857, and is currently the world's largest manufacturer and distributor of harmonicas. Hohner offers a wide range of solidly constructed musical instruments. The company has stayed contemporary with the current market by licensing designs and parts from Ned Steinberger, Claim Guitars (Germany), and Wilkinson hardware. Hohner started producing guitars in the 1970s. In 1986, HSS was established by Hohner to become a distributor to all of Hohner's products (guitars, drums, accessories, etc.). HSS was also the distributor for Crafter Guitars in the late 1990s and early 2000s. For more information, visit Hohner's website, or contact them directly (see Trademark Index).
