See Also New World Guitar Company. | Kenny Hill has been a professional classical guitarist for twenty-five years, and has performed extensively throughout the United States and Mexico. His ability and experience as a performer result in a special gift for making an instrument that is very playable and appealing to the player, as well as the audience.
He has been awarded two major grants from the California Arts Council. One of those grants was to establish a guitar building program inside Soledad State Prison. He continues to act as a guitar building consultant, there and in other prisons. He is also the founder and director of the New World Guitar Co., listed elsewhere in this directory. Mr. Hill is a regular contributor to several national magazines, including Guitar, Soundboard, and American Lutherie, (Biography courtesy Kenny Hill, September 1997).
