 HÖFNER | | MODEL DATING INFORMATION | Höfner began installing adjustable truss-rods in their guitar necks beginning in 1960. Any model prior to that year will not have a truss-rod cover.
Between the late 1950s and early 1970s, Höfner produced a number of semi-hollow or hollowbody electric guitars and basses that were in demand in England. English distribution was handled by Selmer of London, and specified models that were imported. In some cases, English models are certainly different from the domestic models offered in Germany. | |
