ACOUSTIC: 12-STRING SERIES
Many of Harmony's catalogs make the following statement: "You do not tune a 12-string guitar as high as regular 6-string guitar pitch." As a result, the Blue Book of Acoustic Guitars offers a caution that current owners of these same models may want to tune down to avoid any structural problems (bridges separating or pulling off, top warpage, etc.).
