GRIFFIN STRING INSTRUMENTS Acoustic instruments currently produced in Greenwich, NY since 1976. Luthier Kim Griffin was born in 1952 and began repairing string instruments of all types in 1975. He then attended the School of Guitar Research and Design in 1977 learning steel string and classical guitar building methods from George Morris and Charles Fox. Since then, he has built steel string acoustic and electric guitars, mandolins, banjos, and hammered dulcimers in Greenwich New York. Griffin builds custom one of a kind, hand built instruments and offers five different guitar shapes: A (parlor), B (00 size), C (classical), GC (grand concert), and D (rounded dreadnought).
