GUDELSKY MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS
Instruments previously built in Vista, CA between 1985 and 1996.
Luthier Harris Paul Gudelsky (1964-1996) had apprenticed to James D'Aquisto before starting Gudelsky Musical Instruments. Gudelsky's personal goal was to try to build a more modern version of the archtop guitar. Gudelsky offered a small line of instruments exclusively on a customer order basis that included hollowbody archtops (acoustic and electric/acoustic) ranged from $4,290 to $5,500, semi-hollowbodies ranged from $4,235 to $4,400, and set-neck solid bodies ranged from $2,450 to $3,500. Paul Gudelsky was found fatally shot at his Vista, California home in May, 1996.
