GRAF, OSKAR
Instruments currently built in Clarendon, Ontario (Canada) since 1970.
Luthier Oskar Graf has been handcrafting classical and steel-string acoustic guitars since the late 1960s. In addition, Graf now offers acoustic bass guitars, solid body upright string basses, eight- and ten-string classical guitars as well as custom designs and restorations. Graf has built flamenco-style guitars and lutes through the years, and estimates that he has produced maybe 400 guitars (mostly as commissioned pieces). Instruments feature cedar and spruce tops, and rosewood and koa backs and sides. 2003 marked his 30th anniversary of building guitars.
Every instrument is quoted and priced individually. Turnaround on a guitar from the date the guitar is ordered is about eighteen months and a 20% down payment is required. Occasionally there are guitars in stock. For more information, visit Graf's website or contact him directly (see Trademark Index).
