Please refer to the Blue Book of Electric Guitars for CES Models. | SUPER 300 | - same dimensions as the Super 400, arched spruce top, f-holes, raised multi-ply black pickguard, figured maple back/sides, multiple bound body, three-piece figured maple/mahogany neck, 14/20-fret bound Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with pearl parallelogram inlay, adjustable rosewood bridge/nickel trapeze tailpiece, multi-bound blackface peghead with pearl crown/logo inlay, three-per-side nickel tuners, available in Golden Sunburst finish, approx. 200 mfg. 1948-1955. |
Super 300 C | - similar to Super 300, except has a single rounded cutaway, very limited mfg. 1957-58. |
SUPER 400 | - non-cutaway body, carved spruce top, carved maple back and sides, two bound f-holes, multiple bound body, three-piece figured maple neck, model name engraved into heel cap, 13/20-fret bound ebony fingerboard with point on bottom, pearl split block fingerboard inlays, multi-bound blackface headstock with pearl five-piece split diamond/logo inlay, pearl three-piece split diamond inlay on back of headstock, three-per-side engraved gold tuners, adj. rosewood bridge with pearl triangle inlays, gold trapeze tailpiece with engraved model name, raised multi-bound tortoiseshell pickguard, available in Brown Sunburst or Natural finish, 24.75 in. (1934-35) or 25.5 in. scale (1936-1955), 18 in. body width, 21.75 in. body width, 3.5 in. body depth, mfg. 1934-1955. |
Super 400 Premier (Super 400 C) | - similar to the Super 400, except has a single rounded cutaway, multi-bound pearloid pickguard, rigid Varitone tailpiece, available in Brown Sunburst (most common) or Natural finish, limited mfg. 1939-1983 (typically less than 25 were produced each year with that number shrinking throughout the years). |
