FISCHER, PAUL
Acoustic guitars currently produced in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom since 1956.
Luthier Paul Fischer builds fine classical guitars at his studio in the United Kingdom. Fischer started his career in 1956 when he studied under the renowned harpsichord builder Robert Goble. He later took his harpsichord making skills to the guitar and lute maker David Rubio, at the same time extending his making range to early fretted plucked instruments and the modern classical guitar. He remained as manager of the Rubio workshop for six years before establishing his own studio in 1975.
Since then he has become one of England's most prominent classical guitar builders and has built guitars for players including the Assad Brothers, Paulo Bellinati and Jason Vieaux. In 2006, Fischer celebrated his 50th anniversary as an instrument maker with a special classical guitar. For more information, visit Fischer's website (see Trademark Index).
