Luthier Jeffrey R. Elliott began professionally building guitars in 1966. Elliott builds between six and eight classical or steel string guitars on a yearly basis. Custom handmade classical and steel string guitars are constructed in the Torres/Hauser design tradition and tailored to the individual. Clientele include Julian Bream, Leo Kottke, Ralph Towner, Earl Klugh, Burl Ives, Jonathan Leathwood, and Dick Weissman. Base price on guitars for 2008 is $13,000 with rare woods, cutaways, carvings, additional strings, custom gears and cases, and electronics all optional.
